Uluwatu Temple


Uluwatu Temple  is a temple located in the village of Pecatu, South Kuta District, Badung. Pura Uluwatu is located on the southwestern tip of Bali, on the bridge of rock cliffs with a height of 97 meters above sea level. The scenery and charm of the sunset at Uluwatu area becomes an attraction for the tourists. In front of the temple there is a forest that is often called “Alas Kekeran”   which serves as a buffer sanctity of the temple inhabited by hundreds of monkeys.


Kecak dance


In 1930 the Kecak dance is first created based on the traditions of Trance and parts – the Ramayana story. This dance performed by dozens or more male dancers who sit lined up in a circle and with a certain rhythm called “”CAK”, raising both hands. Kecak dance comes from ritual Sanghyang, the dancers will be in unconscious condition. Doing communication with God or ancestors, and then they will expressed the Hope of the God.






Jimbaran was originally as a fishing village and farmers. Since the Jimbaran area popping up many places to eat seafood, and many international hotel is located there, the local livelyhoods are now more in tourism.
